Animating the Runs scored and against in the MLB regular season 2016

This GIF animation was created with the Pages panel in Tableau Public. Unfortunately when publishing a worksheet like this to Tableau Public "in the cloud" it loses the animation. It can still be run but the steps to proceed are manual. That's where GIFs come in handy.

I used a great little (free!) tool called LICEcap, which makes is really easy and simple to capture an animation and save it locally as a GIF.

The following shows the 2016 MLB regular season teams as they progress from game 1 to 162, showing Runs scored (vertical) and Runs against on the horizontal axis. The higher and more to the left is where you want to be, demonstrated by the Cubs, Senators and Red Sox. 

Also note that a few teams did only play 161 games so they disappear at game 162. Darn rain delays...
